The first time I read this book I snorted with laughter (bit embarrassing to admit to really). This story by Fiona Roberton is a sweet and extremely funny tale of a boy in search of the perfect pet. Henry is convinced that this is a dog. 

Once upon a time, there lived a boy called Henry. What Henry wanted more than anything in the whole wide world. . . MORE than chips. . . MORE than a cowboy costume. . . MORE than an all-expenses-paid trip to the moon. . . was a DOG.
